 Prenatal Care was concieved when I bought a clear, acrylic cylinder with a fiber optic type cord that ran the full length of the tube. The unusual piece was lying in a basket with other miscellaneous stuff at a yard sale. I paid fifty cents for the piece that would later inspire my grotesquely beautiful pregnant alien.

It is obviously a feeding tube of sorts. Does it pass on genetic coding? Does it educate the fetus? Does it divy out massive doses of galactic vitamins? Only the alien resigned to meet all the required prenatal care procedures knows for sure.
