To Bottom of page Bosom Babes Wallhanging   Back to Sculpture Gallery Back to Sculpture Gallery

Back to Sculpture Gallery Bosom Babes depicts a militant Mom who is ferocious about protecting her baby kittens. There are three of them and if you look carefully, they can be seen clustered together with tiny heads peeping out of her bodice. Unfortunately, this is the only photo I have before she was sold. The kittens in her bodice are difficult to see but can be seen if you look closely and have a good imagination! One thing that does come across well even in this poor photo is her attitude of DON'T MESS WITH ME or MY BABIES!

Back to Sculpture Gallery Bosom Babes is a good example of how low fire clay takes to any impression when wet. The varying designs in her skirt were made by simply pressing different textured items into the wet clay. The skirt was painted after the piece was fired and cooled.
